about me
Erika Biesemeier is a registered, board certified Art Therapist based in Brooklyn, NY. She has gained extensive experience working with children, teens and adults while working in various settings such as, residential treatment facilities and schools. Most recently her work within the women’s shelter system has been focused on creating safety and autonomy through art making.
Through her work, she has come to understand trauma and its relation to the body and mind—as well as our capacity to change maladaptive behaviors and habits. Her approach is person-centered, intuitive, and dedicated to creating resilience, strength and self-expression through the creative act. Erika believes in providing a safe place to help find your voice, share your experience and heal.
I’d love to help you express yourself through art making. No experience is needed.
